P-Ditty

So we have a new punishment out our house - its called WRITING PAPERS! P-Ditty has got quite the sassy 10 year old mouth on him lately. Here's what the cute boy came up with (and is turning in to the Reflections Contest at school):

Together We Can . . .
Hello! My name is [P-Ditty], and I am going to teach you about the four keys of life. I hope you will take my advice. Enjoy my wonderful book!

Being respectful is very important. Remember the golden rule: treat other people the way you want to be treated. Some people just go out of control and run away from their families. They shouldn’t. Having a family is the key of life. Our families are very important to us. They watch over us, they protect us, they feed us, they care about us, and lots more!

A sibling is the most important family member. Despite the issues, siblings can be very entertaining. On top of that, siblings can be your friends too! You know what they say, friends can be treasures! Friendship is the second key of life!

The next thing you need to know is that we need to learn to love our neighbors! A neighbor is the third key of life. Neighbors are very important. They can help you, they can serve you, they can take you in, and much, much more! A neighbor is another type of friend. But, some neighbors can be really crabby, inappropriate, selfish, and unkind and sassy. Make sure you choose good friends and set a very good example for them. Maybe they can learn a good lesson from you. We can still be nice to them, just don’t hang around them that much. Just remember that we always have a choice about our friends!

The fourth key of life we are going to talk about is the key to respect and treating people’s possessions like they are antiques in a museum. Somebody made a bad choice this week. Whoever it was threw one of our pumpkins at our mailbox. Of course it broke off. When saw that, I got all riled up. I was ready to fight. But, I should have remembered the third key of life. That’s another story.

The very last key of life we are going to talk about is the key of togetherness! We all need to work together sometimes just like somebody needs a bunch of men to build a skyscraper. Unfortunately, some people think that other people can do BIG jobs by themselves. For example: “He doesn’t need my help, he can do it all alone!” That’s not true! Everybody needs to work together! After all, that is why our theme is “Together We Can”! I hope you all remember these 5 keys that I have told you today. PLEASE, follow my example.
